Meus filmes vintage favoritos de todos os tempos / My all-time favorite vintage movies

Hoje vou listar meus filmes antigos favoritos, sem ordem específica. Alguns destes filmes são fáceis de encontrar - outros nem tanto, mas recomendo esse site e esse.

Today I'll list my favorite old movies, in no particular order. Some of these movies are easy to find - some aren't at all, but I recommend this website and this one.

. O Vale das Bonecas / The Valley of the Dolls:

Tudo começou com a música da Marina and the Diamonds, e a letra realmente é muito parecida com o filme. A história de Annie, Neely e Jennifer me chocou. Fiquei um pouco deprimida após assistir, mas eu amei ao mesmo tempo. Já assisti duas vezes. Não li o livro ainda.

It all started with the Marina and the Diamonds song, and the lyrics are really similar to the movie. The story of Annie, Neely and Jennifer really shocked me. I felt a little depressed after watching it, but I loved it at the same time. I've watched it twice. Didn't read the book yet.

. Belle de Jour:

Eu sou uma grande fã do cinema francês antigo e adoro a Catherine Denevue. Belle de Jour é um filme sobre BDSM (do mais pesado!) e prostituição, talvez não agrade a todos os públicos. Apesar de trágico e um pouco non-sense, eu sou apaixonada pela história de Severine. E todo o figurino foi feito pela Yves Saint Laurent!

I'm a big fan of the old french cinema and I love Catherine Denevue. Belle de Jour is a movie about BDSM (the heaviest!) and prostitution, maybe not everyone would enjoy it. Although it's tragic and a bit of non-sense, I'm in love with Severine's story. And the entire costume was made by Yves Saint Laurent!

. A noiva de Frankenstein / The Bride of the Frankenstein:

Gosto mais da sequência que o primeiro filme. É tão triste que me fez amar. E Elsa Lanchester é uma rainha! 

I like the sequel better than the first movie. It's so sad that made me love it. And Elsa Lanchester is a queen!

. Le Mépris:

É aqui que vocês percebem que eu realmente tenho uma tara por filmes trágicos! Godard foi um gênio nesse (como de costume), a paleta de cores (amarelo, azul, branco e vermelho) tão perfeitamente sincronizada me impressionou! Quase chorei com o final. E Brigitte Bardot estava uma deusa!

It's here where you notice that I really have a thing for tragic movies! Godard was a genius on this one (as usual), the color palette (yellow, blue, white and red) so perfectly synchronized impressed me! I almost cried at the end. And Brigitte Bardot was a goddess!

. Os homens preferem as loiras / Gentlemen Prefer Blondes:

O primeiro filme não-trágico da lista, na verdade o mais engraçado! Marilyn me fez chorar de rir e Jane Russel me chocou com sua atuação impecável! Recomendo para quem quer dar boas risadas.

The first non-tragic movie of this list, actually the funniest! Marilyn made me cry of laughter and Jane Russel shocked me with her stunning acting! I recommend to these who want to laugh. 

. Bonequinha de Luxo / Breakfast At Tiffany's:

Todos amam a história de Holly Golightly, uma sonhadora garota de programa que toma seu café da manhã em frente a loja da Tiffany & Co. Me derreti toda vendo o filme - especialmente por causa do figurino!

Everybody loves the story of Holly Golightly, a dreamer and call girl who haves her breakfast at Tiffany & Co's store. I've melted watching to this movie - specially because of the costumes! 

. Sete Vezes Mulher / Woman Times Seven:

Não encontrei nenhum gif desse filme, desculpem! /

Shirley MacLaine interpreta sete personagens diferentes em atos curtos - todas elas adoráveis a sua maneira, mas as minhas favoritas são Linda e Eve. A atuação de MacLaine é perfeita em todas as histórias. A personagem da imagem acima é Marie.

Shirley MacLaine plays seven different characters in short acts - all of them lovely in their own way, but my favorites are Linda and Eve. MacLaine's acting is perfect in all of the stories. The character from the image above is Marie.

. Bonus: Marie Poupée

Esse aqui é um bônus porque eu amo mais visualmente do que pelo enredo. Não que este seja ruim - é apenas um pouco bizarro. É um desses filmes de ninfeta, um tanto erótico, mas não é pior que Lolita (ODEIO Lolita, digam o que quiser!). Ele é todo rosa, por isso amei.

This one is a bonus because I love it more visually than by the plot. Not saying it's bad - it's just a little bizarre. It's one of these nymphet movies, kind of erotic, but not as bad as Lolita (I HATE Lolita, say whatever you want!). It is all pink, that's why I loved it.
